What do the USA, Zimbabwe, Ghana, Botswana, Zambia, Nigeria—and a whole lot of big dreams—have in common?

Turns out, more than you’d think.

Even though we come from different cities and cultures, so many of us are standing in the same kind of moment: that weird, exciting, kind-of-overwhelming space between college and whatever comes next. Maybe you’re applying for your first job. Maybe you’ve already started working. Maybe you’re just trying to figure out what it means to be a “real adult” (whatever that means). Either way—you’re not alone.

That’s actually why we recently revamped our flagship mentorship program. Our Program Ops team took everything we’ve learned over the years—and everything we heard from you—and reimagined the experience as a peer mentorship program made specifically for this in-between season of life.

Your applications were filled with challenges like:

✨ Figuring out who you are outside of school—and how to find your people

✨ Building your professional voice and learning to speak up in rooms that weren’t made for you

✨ Applying for internships or your first job, and not knowing where to start

✨ Trying to balance it all—work, rest, relationships, life

✨ And yeah… doubting yourself along the way

Sound familiar? Same here. This stuff is hard—and it’s okay if it feels that way.

That’s where peer mentorship really shines. Instead of advice from someone decades ahead of you (which absolutely has its place!), participants were matched with someone who’s also in the thick of it—navigating similar questions, fears, and decisions. It’s not about having all the answers. It’s about figuring things out together. It’s about showing up with honesty, curiosity, and care.

It’s about being able to say:

“Same here.”

“Here’s what helped me.”

“I don’t know either, but I’ve got you.”

And here’s the thing—wisdom doesn’t only come with a title or age. You already know more than you think. We all do. That gut feeling? That quiet voice nudging you toward what feels right? That’s intuition—and it counts. You don’t need permission to trust it. When we listen to ourselves and share what we’ve learned—what we’ve tried, what worked (and what didn’t)—we all grow stronger, together.

So if you’re in this moment, this is for you:

💜 You don’t need to be perfect to be powerful

💜 Your pace is your pace—comparison can sit down

💜 You are allowed to take up space (yes, even in that meeting)

💜 You’re not behind—you’re becoming

💜 And if you mess up? That’s not failure—it’s feedback. You’re learning. Keep going.

The truth is, this transition is not just yours—it’s ours. No matter where you’re from or what your path looks like, there’s a thread connecting all of us who are navigating this stretch of life. The questions might sound different, but the heart of it—the uncertainty, the hope, the growth—is something we all share.

Wherever you are right now—whether you’re prepping for your first interview, navigating your first job, or just taking it day by day—know this: You’re not doing it alone. We’re in it with you. Failing forward, cheering each other on, and growing into who we’re meant to be.

This is just the beginning—and we’re so glad to be walking it with you.

More to come soon—including updates about our next peer mentorship cohort. Stay tuned. We can’t wait to see where you go from here.
