Ever

When words fail me, would you take me up and be my words?

When anguish engulfs me, would you cradle me in your arms?

When these words lie at the tip of my tongue, would you show me my thoughts?

And when my memories fade, would you take me through the joy of the old?

And if I decide to hold onto my dreams, would you be my rock?

And if I smile through the pain, would you light me up in bliss?

And if I fade away, would you inscribe my name upon the palms of your arms?

And as I lay under the cerulean sky, would you comfort me in silence?

Till this love becomes faint whispers of the universe.

Till our existence lay only in the hearts of men

For as long as our bond remains

Till the end of the Earth

Till this life in us blooms no more

Till our strength turns to fragility

For as long as our vulnerability to our souls prevails

To each seed borne out of love

To the life it gives

To all who witnessed such splendour

Till all is gone and nothing is left.

You would always be in my heart, my love

Two broken hearts mended as one.
